PVCC Counseling Internship
Internships through PV Counseling Center
Pleasant Valley Counseling Center offers a positive educational experience to students seeking a clinical counseling internship. PVCC hosts interns from a variety of universities and seminaries including online and in-person graduate programs. Those in our counseling internship program receive a variety of direct counseling opportunities including group, relational, and individual. PVCC takes pride in supporting, teaching, and mentoring graduate level interns as they learn effective counseling skills and ethical documentation practices. PVCC is a counseling center open to counseling interns located in the Kansas City Metropolitan area.
In addition, we have a team of licensed counselors and Biblical counselors. Our professionals have varying levels of experience and specializations.
My internship at PV not only gave me the opportunity to work with hurting Christians, but also with hurting people who don’t yet have a relationship with Christ. I was able to work with children, teens, couples, and families in all stages of healing. I interned at a church, and through that experience I gained skills that prepared me for encounters with most every type of pain a person seeking help might experience. Not only did it prepare me for real world experiences, my colleagues have been such a blessing. If I were making this choice today, I’d definitely still choose PV. I love it here. I’ve been here since 2019. It just keeps growing and getting better.
